Eight people were injured in a shooting at a shopping center in Wisconsin, United States. Police said the incident took place on Friday, after the incident, the gunman who was shooting went missing. The police are looking for him. The incident occurred at the Metfair Mall near Milwaukee in Wawatosa, Wisconsin.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that their officers were at the scene to support local police action. Vavatosa police said in a statement that as soon as police emergency service personnel arrived at the scene, the shooter was missing.
The statement said seven of the injured are young while one is a teenager. All were admitted to hospital. Although the status of all injured has not yet been established, the mayor of Wawatosa, Danish McBride, told ABC News that the condition of one of the injured was not worrying or fatal.
Police identified the gunman as a young white man between the ages of 20 and 30. A video of the incident goes viral on social media, according to which many mall employees took refuge inside the building during the shooting. Jill Woley, a shopkeeper at the mall, told the local news channel that she was inside with her 79-year-old mother when the shooting took place.

We rolled around on the ground looking at him. ” Anya Chashmidid said that an atmosphere of fear arose there. Mall staff immediately intervened and asked all customers to bow down and took them to the back of the mall. After that, the main gate was closed.
