Barack Obama warns Joe Biden supporters to be ‘decent’ despite polls

Philadelphia, United States:

Barack Obama on Wednesday called on Joe Biden’s supporters not to be “gracious” despite favorable opinion polls ahead of the November election and attacked President Donald Trump in a rally speech.

The former president commented during his first public rally in support of Biden, warning of errors in opinion polls ahead of Trump’s resounding victory.

At Obama’s drive-through rally in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania battlefield, Obama said, “We cannot be complacent. I don’t care about the elections. ”

“The last time there was a whole series of elections. It did not work. Because a whole group of people stayed at home. And became lazy and courteous. Not this time. Not in this election. ”

Obama spoke of Trump’s record and provocative behavior as he sought contrast with his former vice president, Biden.

He said Trump has proven himself “incapable of taking the job seriously.”

“This is not a reality show. This is the reality, ”Obama said.

“And the rest of us had to live with the consequences, being unable to take the job seriously.”

Obama said that “the work of our democracy does not continue if the people who are our leaders lie every day and just talk. And we are just insensitive ”.
