Kabul: At least 12 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in suicide car bombings on Sunday (October 18) in the state of Ghor in western Afghanistan, officials said.
The head of a hospital in Mohammad Omeral Ghor says emergency personnel are treating dozens of people who have suffered serious and minor injuries from the bombing. He expected the death toll to increase.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Aran said the car bombing took place near the area’s police chief’s office and the entrance to a nearby government building.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack on Gor, amid the soaring Taliban attacks as the group’s representatives and Afghan government officials held their first face-to-face talks in Qatar. Political office for many years. Negotiations are meant to end decades of war.
On Friday, the Taliban agreed to stop an attack in southern Afghanistan, which has recently migrated thousands of residents. It came after the U.S. pledged to stop all strikes and night assaults under a peace treaty signed by the United States with the Taliban in February.
The United States was conducting air raids to support Afghan troops trying to repel Taliban attacks in the province of Helman to derail efforts to end the war in Afghanistan.
