Washington, United States:
US President Donald Trump on Monday mocked his rival Joe Biden for forgetting his name and calling him “George” just a week before the election.
Trump, 74, has often accused Biden, 77, of leading him to a Nov. 3 poll with two candidates.
Joe Bedon’s habit of oral blunders resumed Sunday night when he struggled to remember Trump’s name as he addressed a virtual TV Link concert.
He twice called his opponent “George” – perhaps a reference to one of the Presidents Bush.
“Four more years, George, uh, George, uh, that – we’re going to end up in a situation where if Trump gets elected, we’re going to live in a different world,” said Biden, then Sitting for his wife Jill, who motioned to him.
Trump sought to portray Biden as mentally unfit for the job, and the president quickly jumped to a moment of oblivion.
Trump happily tweeted: “Joe Biden called me George yesterday. I can’t remember my name. ” “The fake news cartel is working overtime to cover it up!”
Biden, believed to be the oldest president to be elected, has fought fiercely against Trump’s claims about his sanity, saying it was a tactic to steer away from the presidency.
