According to the Indian National Center for Seismology, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck Friday evening near Athens, Greece.
The agency said the quake’s epicenter was 258 km east (E) in Athens, Greece. The earthquake occurred at 5:21 p.m. IST at a depth of 52 km from the surface.
