We’ve been teased with GTA 6 leaks for months now, and finally some semi-official information on a Trilogy Remaster has emerged!
In recent months, two types of information concerning Grand Theft Auto have been leaked: gameplay details and character designs. The most exciting, although least likely, possibility is the reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6. That would already be on the horizon if not already there. Those, on the other hand, are always unconfirmed sources and leaks, regardless of the situation. As of right now, we have something tangible to share with you: a GTA Trilogy Remaster is virtually a certainty, according to a recent submission to the South Korean age rating agency.
The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remaster
The three iconic 3D Grand Theft Auto games, Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and Vice City Unlimited, have been the subject of rumours for months. GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas were all released in less than four years, solidifying the franchise’s position as a mainstream monster. It appears that the three games have finally been updated to a modern setting, according to the rating agency.
In the case of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, the Korean regulatory agency has clearly designated it as a ‘youth not authorised’ title. Depending on the market, violent games have always been categorised as being for those aged 16 or 18 and up.
Skeptics who believe this could be another GTA-related project should be aware that the three games in question are now available for purchase under the title ‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy’ on a variety of platforms, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
By placing the words ‘Definitive Edition’ in front of a title, a publisher is essentially stating that the version is complete with all of the extras. In other words, sometimes you’ll get DLC, and sometimes you’ll get the latest graphical enhancements. That appears to be extremely feasible given the fact that all leaks have mentioned it. It would at the very least provide an explanation for the witch hunt against earlier GTA mods.
