Nawaz Sharif’s grand statement on Kargil, “the soldiers had no weapons, the generals pushed into war”

New Delhi: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan (Pakistan) Nawaz Sharif issued a statement on the Kargil war with India. He blamed “some generals” of the Pakistani army for dragging the country into this war (Kargil War) and also explained how Pakistani soldiers were fighting without food and weapons.

1999 Nawaz Sharif, who was the prime minister of Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani war, said: ‘Some generals are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of our soldiers in Kargil. We are responsible. He was the one who pushed us into the war. It is sad for me to know that when our soldiers were on the peaks, they had no food and weapons… Even after that they sacrificed their lives, but what the country or society gained from it. ‘

This decisive war, which lasted almost 3 months, ended with the victory of India. The Indian army successfully evacuated the Kargil region from the former state of Jammu and Kashmir, which the Pakistani army attempted to capture.

Kargil had the same forces behind him

Sharif also said that ‘Kargil had the same forces and the same faces behind him that October 12, 2018 He was conspired for a coup in the country and declared martial law. Parvez Musharraf and his comrades used the army for personal gain.

Sharif said these things at a rally by the Pakistani Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of 11 opposition parties in Quetta, Balochistan. This is the third demonstration of PDM, before which demonstrations took place in Gujranwala and Karachi.

He also investigated the Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Pakistani spy agency ISI, General Faiz Hameed. He said: “General Bajwa stole the mandate of the 2018 Pakistani elections … He appointed Imran Niazi the prime minister of Pakistan who is against the mandate.”

This is the second time that Sharif, who was three times Prime Minister of Pakistan, publicly appoints the country’s powerful army chief in the same way as the previous one.

Over the years, no leader has done it.
