PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will receive CoD: Warzone

Battle Royale fun with Call of Duty: Warzone also on the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Earlier this year, Call of Duty launched its own Battle Royale game with Warzone. The expiration date seemed to be at risk for a while with the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X in prospect. When these new consoles are released, millions of gamers will switch to the latest console from Sony and Microsoft.

However, the successful game, with more than 50 million players a month after launch, is also coming to the new generation of consoles. Taylor Kurosaki of Infinity Ward announced this to GamerGen . Warzone has been developed for the long term and will therefore have its own variants on the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, according to Kurosaki.

Don’t expect a direct release of the game once the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X hit stores. There will be a bridging period. The die-hard Warzone gamer has to stick to the PS4 and the Xbox One. It is not known whether Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also make the switch to the next generation of consoles.

You don’t have to worry about not being able to play your favorite PS4 or Xbox One games on the consoles of the next generations. Both consoles are supported for older games.
