Rakuten has just unveiled two new e-readers, the Kobo Sage and the Kobo Libra 2, which are both available now.
Rakuten is a website that is well-known as one of the pioneers in e-commerce; the brand appears to be following in the footsteps of its greatest competitor, Amazon. Akin to Jeff Bezos’ enterprise, the Japanese company has launched a line of products under its own brand. This is the case, for example, with Kobo items, a proprietary brand of Rakuten that specialises in electronic products.
As Black Friday approaches as e-commerce sites gear up for the busiest shopping day of the year, Kobo has introduced two new e-readers: the Kobo Sage and the Kobo Libra 2, which is the successor to the Kobo Libra H20.
The primary goal of these new reading devices is to make reading as enjoyable as possible for the user. In order to accomplish this, Kobo depends on a touchscreen equipped with patented ComfortLight Pro technology, which promises to modify brightness and colour throughout the day, so that the technology adapts to the user rather than the other way around. ‘reverse.
Bluetooth is a unique feature of the Kobo.
The Kobo Sage is the most expensive model available from the company. It has an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 300 dpi and a definition of 1440 by 1920 pixels, according to Rakuten, which describes it as “the most premium reading experience accessible to date.” This e-reader is also compatible with the Kobo pen, which allows for the most natural annotation of digital books, as well as the creation of side notes, just like with a traditional tablet.
Rakuten has announced that the Kobo Libra 2 e-reader is completely waterproof, which is a first for the company. It is also available in four other colours: red, lavender, slate blue, and black, and it has 32 GB of storage space, which is enough to store 24,000 eBooks. The introduction of Bluetooth technology, on the other hand, is a significant advantage for these e-readers. Bluetooth is included into both the Kobo Sage and the Kobo Libra 2, allowing digital books to be read aloud. As a result, it will be possible to read, but most importantly, to listen to, his stories.
The Kobo Sage will be available for purchase on the company’s website for € 289.99, while the Kobo Libra 2 will be available for purchase for € 189.99. Both e-readers are currently available for pre-order and will be ready for purchase on October 19.
