Beirut: Opposition spokesman in Syria and A war-monitoring organization said more than 50 fighters were killed in an air raid on a rebel training camp in northwestern Syria. Yusuf Hamood, a spokesman for the Turkish-backed Syrian opposition group, said Russia is believed to have carried out the air strikes on Monday.
Hamud said the airstrike targeted a training camp run by Falaq Al Sham of Idlib province. Falaq al Sham is one of the largest rebel organizations. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which oversaw the fighting in Syria, said 56 fighters were killed in this attack and close
they are injured. Rescue and rescue operations are still ongoing.
