A police operation is underway Thursday at Part-Ditu station in Lyon, France, by local police, saying that one person has been arrested and the station evacuated.
Police said a demining team was present at the premises, in which checks were carried out and security circles were erected in various locations.
The local Lyon newspaper Le Progress reported on its website that a woman carrying several bags threatened to blow herself up and shouted slogans “Allahu Akbar”.
SNCF said on Twitter that traffic around Lyon had been seriously disrupted.
The Rhône prefecture was not immediately available for comment.
